I Took Sexy Pin-Up Girl Photos When I Was 33 Weeks Pregnant

I was constantly vomiting during my second pregnancy — which became quite dangerous to myself and the baby. I had been in and out of the hospital being treated with fluids and nutrients, because I wasn't even able to keep water down. The dehydration and malnourishment caused me to be extremely weak and tired, which made it nearly impossible for me to parent my other child, who was a toddler. I had been spending the majority of my day in bed, on the couch, or hunched over my toilet. My toddler spent most of his time

with me in front of the TV or playing by myself.
At this point, I was just feeling incredibly guilty that I was physically unable to be present for my toddler. I even began to resent my pregnancy. It was when I was 33 weeks along that the opportunity to do a pin-up girl photo shoot came up. I instantly jumped on it.
I also never had any maternity pictures done when I was pregnant with my first son, so I felt justified in spend the extra money, and it would be a much-needed dose of fun. Up until that point, I had been so focused on my sickness and the time I was missing with my toddler. It actually felt like a bonding experience. I completely forgot about the fact that I'd have a big ol' pregnant belly by the time the photo shoot came around because, well, pregnancy brain. (For those who have not yet experienced the joys of pregnancy brain, think Drew Barrymore in 50 First Dates.)
